Canary Islands

With more than five million tourists in 2016, Tenerife began its tourist journey at the end of the 19th century in Puerto de la Cruz, blazing a trail that would spread to other areas in the south of the island, such as Arona. Both destinations are included in Innovatur’s scope of activity.

Innovatur also has a presence in another of Macaronesia’s key locations. Funchal, the largest city in Madeira, and once a mandatory stop for the galleons that set sail for the New World, is today one of the most popular stopovers for Atlantic cruises.

Terceira Island

Located in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores, and also known as the Lilac Island, its capital Angra do Heroísmo has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Terceira closes Innovatur’s renewal intervention circle.
